The Emergency Services Show 2015 took place in September at the NEC in Birmingham. The two-day show was attended by people from all the main emergency and voluntary services across the UK and further. This year’s theme was Collaboration and Innovation.
Emergency Times has a special feature report from the show, with thanks to our kind sponsors Deegan Safety. In this report, Declan Keogh meets with some of the exhibitors and emergency services at the event.
We will see how the Home Office’s ‘Resilience Direct’ is keeping the UK safe and by making it easier for the emergency services to manage major incidents, we attend the launch of the West Midland Ambulance Service’s new Incident Command Unit. We take a trip on Surrey Fire & rescue’s Hydraulic Platform and we take a look at the new Fire/Ambulance Response vehicle from Terberg DTS. The British Army will tells us about their recruitment campaign and we have a look at the training workshops underway by the College of Paramedics. If you are a driver of an emergency or voluntary service vehicle, we speak find out what’s facing drivers on blue light driver training.
Please Note: Due to the nature of this show and given the various technological and security systems in use, commercial sensitivity and certain vehicles which are on display prior to their official commission and launch, with all this in mind, we are restricted in showing you certain aspects of the show and we are happy to adhere to this rule.
