In preparation of Ireland’s first National Services Day, a special medal has been commissioned for the occasion.
National Services Day takes place on 1st September and acknowledges and celebrates the works and commitments of the frontline emergency, voluntary services and defence forces. Many events among the various services are being planned throughout the country.
An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar TD approved the national commemoration day and his official statement has been printed onto commemoration cards, with the official Irish Harp logo.
FESSEF, the services day committee have produced the medal and those interested in receiving one are asked to make contact with their agency supervisors or representatives.
