Gardaí planning a withdrawal of service on Friday after talks between the Department of Justice and AGSI and GRA broke without resolution over the weekend, are being issued with an order by the Garda Commissioner to turn up for duty.
Any members who is rostered to work on Friday is being ordered to turn up for duty, a move which will increase further tension of garda members.

The Commissioner is also planning on cancelling all rest days and annual leave, which means that each garda detailed for duty on Friday should be in place at their stations or posts.
The Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors (AGSI) and the Garda Representative Association (GRA) are both planning a withdrawal of service action on Friday for 24 hours from 7am, and is expected to be repeated for the remaining Fridays in November.
