Hearts were racing yesterday for the members of Wicklow Rapid Response when they received excellent news from Version 1.
Wicklow Rapid Response has been in the running to win a Community Trust Award worth €5,000.
Closing date was 31st December and after a hard-slog and hundreds of votes from the public, Vision 1 confirmed yesterday that Wicklow Rapid Response won the award.
The Community Responders are not much closer to acquiring a replacement critical care spec monitor-defibrillator for their sponsored Rapid Response Vehicle.

Their replacement machine is expected to cost in the region of €20,000 and the group is setting itself up for further challenges to raise much needed funds for the replacement. In a statement on their Facebook page, Wicklow Rapid Response said ‘We have some work to do yet, but this is a big boost. Thank you so much to everyone who votes and shared our posts and to Version 1 for their generous corporate social responsibility’.
