Police, Fire and Ambulance Services in Northern Ireland are hoping their message and involvement on Community Safety will in fact fall on deaf ears, when a unique safety event takes place at the RADAR centre in Belfast on Monday 22nd August for deaf people.
Members of Northern Irelands’ Emergency Services will be engaging with young deaf people and parents of young deaf people through sign language and practical demonstrations.
The interactive event is being led by the British Deaf Association BDA in association with the Police Service of Northern Ireland PSNI, Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service NIFRS and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service NIAS.
The BDA will provide interpreters on the day when A life-sized interactive safety centre will be available for the event and they are encouraging and inviting young deaf people and parents of young deaf people to come along for this interactive, informative and safety awareness day.
