A family fun day of the emergency, search, rescue and voluntary services will take place in Greystones, Co. Wicklow this Sunday at 12pm.
The inaugural emergency services day in Greystones is set to be a big event with lots of attractions and lots to see and learn for the family and community.
The Garda Helicopter and the Irish Coast Guard Rescue 116 helicopter will attend. Rescue 116 is also lined up for a demonstration with the Irish Coast Guard while the Road Safety Authority will also have their demonstration unit there.
Local gardaí will provide crime prevention information and showcase some of their equipment and tools which they use as part of their role, the Greystones crew from Wicklow County Fire Service will be on hand to demonstrate their equipment and provide fire safety and fire prevention advice while the national ambulance service will also provide information to the public too.
The Irish Defence Forces, Wicklow Civil Defence, Wicklow Rapid Response and Greysones Community First Responders will also attend.
One of the main organisers of the event is Community Garda Maria Curtis.
Parking is available at Greystones Rugby club, Shorline Leisure Centre and Greystones Tennis Club.
