The first ‘Darkness Into Light’ for Edenderry, Co. Offaly was launched yesterday.
Unit Officer with Edenderry Red Cross Ken Guilfoyle spoke at the launch and committed the IRC’s local support in Edenderry.
The event is a 5km Walk/Run at 4.15am on the 7th of May 2016.
Founder of the suicide and self-harm crisis centre Pieta House Joan Freeman also attended the launch this evening. Edenderry Red Cross was recognised for the great work they carry out and the way the local community supports the unit and the voluntary work they do.
