Four members of Defence Forces participate in All Ireland Camogie finals

Defence Forces Camogie Tea group

Four serving members of the Defence Forces were finalising their preparations for this year’s AIB All Ireland Club Camogie Finals in Croke Park on Suday March 1st 2015.

Lieutenant Gráinne Kenneally and Ordinary Supply Aishling O’Brien, Lismore, Waterford, are defending All Ireland Intermediate Champions whose team take on Pilltown of Kilkenny.

Privates Shelly and Stacey Kehoe, sisters from Oulart the Ballagh in Wexford take on Galways Mullagh in today’s double header.

The four members gathered at the Defence Forces Naval Base at Haulbowline in Cork in the lead up to the big games, with the backdrop of the Samuel Becket vessel and an Army Vehicle, representing Army and Naval Service involvement.

Defence Forces Camoge Group

The Intermediate Final between Lismore of Waterford and Piltown of Kilkenny will throw in at 1.30pm while the Senior Final between Wexford’s Oulart-The Ballagh and Galway’s Mullagh kicks off at 3.15pm
