A young male who is reported to have mugged a woman in Carlow town this evening was apprehended by gardaí.
It is understood a woman, believed to be in her early 50’s was mugged by a young male as she walked on Tullow Street in Carlow town. EmergencyTimes.ie understands the youth robbed the woman’s handbag before running away.

The male emerged from a local takeaway on the street before the incident occurred. It is not yet clear if the woman was assaulted or injured as a result of the incident.
Gardaí have been praised for their quick action in catching the accused and an investigation is underway.
