Two viable devices discovered at a house in Co Cavan last night were made safe by the Army Bomb Disposal Team.
The devices were found at a house in the Aughnaskerry area, outside Cavan own.

Gardaí were alerted to the incident. An Army Bomb Disposal Team which were requested by Gardaí to attend arrived on the scene at 8.45pm.
Following examination of the devices by the Bomb Disposal Team, they were found to be two viable igniferous IEDs. The IEDs were made safe at the scene and removed to a military location for further examination.

The scene was declared safe by the Defence Forces Bomb Disposal Team at 10.40pm and following a technical examination of the devices, the parts will be handed over to the Gardai for evidential purposes.
