LÉ Samuel Beckett Rescues 130 Migrants During a Search and Rescue Operation 22 Nautical Miles NE of Tripoli
Earlier today, following a request from the Italian Maritime Rescue Co-Ordination Centre, the LÉ Samuel Beckett successfully located and rescued a total of 130migrants during a search and rescue operation 22 Nautical Miles NE of Tripoli.
The rescue operation commenced at 11am when 130 migrants were brought on board LÉ Samuel Beckett, they are now receiving food, water and medical treatment where required.
LÉ Samuel Beckett has rescued 780 people since deploying to the area of operations.
